Kaiser Permanente Northern California Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship
The Kaiser Permanente Northern California Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Fellowship (previously Kaiser Hayward) was the first post-graduate fellowship program in the United States. Our faculty mentors have won state and national awards for our contributions to residency and fellowship education in the United States and our mentoring has served as a model for the profession for years . Fellows-in-Training will have the opportunity to participate in a state of the art online program combined with laboratory sessions taught by some of the most experienced fellowship faculty in the country. Our rich resource of alumni work with the faculty to create a comprehensive learning experience that will advance your clinical reasoning and handling skills. You will learn more than ‘manual therapy’ in our program – you will become efficient and confident in your ability to solve complex orthopedic problems and serve as a leader in the field of orthopaedic manual physical therapy.

The hallmark of the Kaiser Northern California experience is the opportunity to be mentored one-on-one by some of the most talented and experienced fellowship faculty in the country. These clinicians work side-by-side with you throughout the program to apply a systematic approach to differential diagnosis, intervention, and management skills. Learners receive mentoring either at Kaiser campuses throughout the San Francisco Bay Area or at your current worksite.

The Fellowship program is 18-months in length total and consists of two parts. Fellowship Part I consists of 6 months and includes 44 1:1 mentoring hours, while Fellowship Part II is another 12 months and includes approximately 110 1:1 menoring hours. There are roughly 16 weekend lab intensives throughout the course of the program.
