University of Southern California & Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center Neurologic Residency
The mission of the University of Southern California/Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center (USC/RLANRC) Clinical residency program in neurologic physical therapy is to graduate advanced practitioners of neurologic physical therapy who will express their education through excellence in the practice and teaching of clinical skills, who will continue to expand the body of knowledge in their specialty by conducting and publishing clinical research and who will make a lasting contribution to their local and professional community.

Unique components of our residency include:
    1. Residency curriculum is provided through the Neuroconsortium: offering the curriculum through both webinars (25) and classroom/laboratory education (2 onsite 4-day modules) fulfills the didactic component of the APTA residency credentialing requirements. Our decision to offer the curriculum as a consortium of many Neuroresidencies around the country has multiple benefits: two of which are that the faculty teaching the curriculum represent individuals from around the country that have expertise in a given area and secondly this model enables residents from all around the country to interact with each other.
    2. Teaching neurologic content in the doctor of physical therapy program at the University of Southern California
    3. 3 clinic rotations over the year with fellowship trained neurologists in Movement Disorders, Stroke, Neuroimmunology, Neuromuscular.
    4. 4 hours of clinic mentoring each week.
