The Jewish Senior Services Geriatrics Residency
The Clinical residency program at The Jewish Home for the Elderly provides physical therapists with an opportunity to develop advanced competency skills in geriatric physical therapy. This experience is designed to prepare the individual to take the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties exam in Geriatric Physical Therapy.

The program is unique in it effectively integrates the positive aspects of both the academic and clinical environments. The residents are involved in research with Sacred Heart University faculty and participate in educational activities with the physical therapy students. The geriatric residents also participate in journal club and case presentations with the orthopedic residents at Sacred Heart University.
