Memorial Hermann Orthopedic Residency
Memorial Hermann’s Ironman Sports Medicine Institute (ISMI) offers post-graduate residency programs to develop advanced practitioners in the fields of orthopedic and sports physical therapy. The programs afford residents unparalleled access to unique learning opportunities, board certified and fellowship trained clinicians, and a diverse patient population.

The residency’s advanced didactic curriculum is delivered by clinicians within the Memorial Hermann Health System in collaboration with Texas Woman’s University – Houston. Collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers is coordinated through ISMI’s well-established partnership with UT Health and Memorial Hermann Medical Group. The curriculum is based on the Description of Specialty Practice (DSP) for Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and meets the requirements set by the American Board for Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE).
