University of Florida (UF) Health Sports Residency
UF Health Sports Physical Therapy Residency provides a mentored, clinical experience in sports specific musculoskeletal practice.
The program provides residents opportunities to closely interact with other health care professionals including physicians, physician assistants, occupational therapists and athletic trainers.
Our program provides direct experiences with Division I athletes through the University Athletic Association as well as with multiple local high school athletic programs.
Experiences beyond the physical therapy clinic include physician observation, participation in grand rounds, attendance at rehabilitation research seminars and assisting in the entry-level education of physical therapist students at the University of Florida.

    Our program requires completion of:
•32 hours of patient care per week (40% sports)
•150 hours of 1:1 mentoring with your clinical mentors
•200 hours of on-field venue coverage (University of Florida and High School)
    •75 hours of didactic education
•Teaching assistant in Musculoskeletal Courses for UF DPT Program (2 semesters)
•Written case study with opportunity for submission at a national level

We are most interested in residents who are professional, passionate, friendly, and receptive to learning and feedback from many different therapists and other health care professions.
