HonorHealth Orthopaedic Residency
HonorHealth's Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program's Mission is to:

Prepare physical therapists with advanced knowledge and skills in orthopaedic physical therapy, integrated with a foundation in the basic and applied sciences, provide students with a breadth of educational opportunities in orthopaedic physical therapy, and maintain an environment that enables residents to identify and pursue their personal and professional goals.
The resident receives one-on-one mentoring on a weekly basis with clinical mentors who are OCS certified. The resident will have the opportunity to be mentored primarily by three different clinicians, each specializing in a slightly different approach to Orthopaedic Physical Therapy incorporating both the movement science and manual therapy based approaches. The head mentor is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. The resident will receive 21 lectures and 3 labs during the 52 week residency. In addition, the resident will receive opportunities throughout the course of the year to practice skills taught during mentoring hours and previously discussed lectures and labs. The HonorHealth Orthopaedic Residency Program is solely operated by our health system and lecture/labs are taught by clinical specialist of manual therapy, orthopaedics, and hand therapy from within our system as well as experts brought in from other more specialized areas such as TMJ and pain science.
