Casa Colina Neurologic Residency
Casa Colina is a unique place that provides state-of-the-art technologies, breakthrough rehabilitation techniques, and an unsurpassed continuum of care. It is not only an ideal environment for clinicians to advance patient care, but the skills of future rehabilitative care providers as well. After all, we believe we have a duty to create an educational environment that fosters learning and promotes scholarship.

Our physical therapy residency programs provide advanced knowledge and skill in a focused clinical environment. The course work provides training in clinical examination, decision-making and treatment skills. It is designed to accelerate therapists' professional development while allowing them to achieve clinical excellence in all aspects of patient care.

Upon completion of the program, the clinician will have had the training to apply for the certified specialty offered by the American Physical Therapy Association.

The Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program offers clinical experience in three distinct areas of the continuum: inpatient rehabilitation, transitional living (day rehab) and outpatient. You will work with three different mentors, each having a distinct area of expertise. Residents will participate in the Neurologic Physical Therapy Professional Education Consortium (www.ptneuroconsortium.org) to fulfill the didactic requirements of the residency programs. A list of possible resident directed activities are provided that include research, teaching, acute care and pediatric observation, physician clinics and pro-bono services. Residents have the flexibility to choose the activities that meet their interests.

The neurologic residency programs consists of 32 hours of clinical practice each week including some weekend coverage requirments.
