Cayuga Medical Center Spine Fellowship
    The Spine Fellowship Program at Cayuga Medical Center is a planned post-professional training program designed to develop advanced skills in clinical examination, clinical decision-making and treatment for patients with spinal pain. Learning experiences will include didactic training, lab training, and independent reading, and clinical mentoring to meet the individual needs of the fellow-in-training. Additionally, fellows-in-training will observe physicians, surgeons, radiologists, interventional pain specialists and other practitioners to augment their experience. Fellows-in-training will also be involved in supervising physical therapy students during clinical affiliations, as well as assisting in classroom teaching. Fellows-in-training will engage in scientific inquiry through journal club, case presentations, and case report writing. Following completion of the program, fellow-in-trainings will be prepared to serve as advanced clinicians for patients with spinal pain, educators for clinicians and the community, and researchers who contribute to profession.

Certifications Demonstrated specialized proficiency by having completed 1) an accredited residency program, 2) passed the OCS exam, OR 3) demonstrated specialist training via their CV, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Experience 1. Graduate of a CAPTE accredited physical therapy program. 2. Proof of license to practice physical therapy within their current practice setting. 3. Meet all eligibility requirements to be employed as a practicing physical therapist within Cayuga Medical Center. 4. Demonstrated specialized proficiency by having completed 1) an accredited residency program, 2) passed the OCS exam, OR 3) demonstrated specialist training via their CV, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. 5. Submit a current resume or CV including a list of physical therapy continuing education courses that they have attended over the last five years.
